Our Story

Welcome to Maison Mûrier, a little bit of heaven in the French countryside.

If you want to escape the stress of your busy life, relax by a sun-drenched pool surrounded by beautiful views, enjoy wine from our local vineyards or explore local cuisine, look no further.

It is our pleasure to offer you a warm welcome at Maison Mûrier.  After spending a busy 16 years in London, we decided to make the move to South West France in 2013 to enjoy country life, along with our dog Barnaby Pickles and our cat Miel Miaow. We now also have a new dog called Polly Pickles. We have spent 0ver ten years renovating the buildings ourselves, and we’re now very excited to share this special house and wonderful lifestyle with others. Our guest house is adult only. You’ll find a relaxed, homely service with stylish interiors and a uniquely warm and welcoming vibe from the moment you arrive.

Maison Mûrier offers beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms which all have private bathrooms, featuring bio toiletries. Feel free to chill out by the pool and enjoy the stunning views of the countryside, or snooze under a shady tree. You might like to explore any number of the beautiful surrounding villages or take a walk through the fields. Our village is centred in an area known as The Golden Triangle, between Gaillac, Corde-sur-Ciel and Albi, and there are dozens of charming villages and vineyards just a short drive away in any direction.

Breakfast and dinner are served in our dining room or on the terrace.

Children
Owing to the way our gardens and terrace are laid out, our property is not suitable for children under the age of 10.

Pets
We are huge pet-lovers, and we have a Siamese-tabby cross cat, a working cocker spaniel and a cross breed puppy. They love meeting new people, but unfortunately they get very jealous of other animals. So, for that reason, we regret to say we are not able to accept guests with pets.

Larger Groups
Please talk to us if your plans involve a larger party. On occasion we are able to accommodate more guests, or find suitable additional local accommodation.

Special Events
Please talk to us if you’re thinking of hosting a small party or event for local friends and family. Our gardens provide an excellent location for an intimate get-together.

Parking
We have ample and secure onsite parking, and indoor locations for bicycles and motorbikes.

Transport
Please see here for a guide to our location. We strongly recommend having your own transport to give you the freedom to explore. However, if you need us to transport you anywhere, or collect you from the airport, this can be arranged.
