Sustainability
At Maison Mûrier we are always looking for ways to care for and protect the environment and give back to the communities we are a part of. This approach is highly important to us and to how we run our guest house.
We hope to demonstrate to others that you can succeed as a business in an environmentally correct way.
Here are some of the ways we are working towards being a greener and more socially responsible business…
-
We recycle glass, cardboard, paper and plastic.
-
Straws used are made from paper.
-
We have removed all plastic cotton buds and their plastic wrapping from our bathrooms replacing them with paper and organic cotton ones.
-
We recycle all coffee grounds, using them to fertilise plants in our garden.
-
Our paper napkins are made from recycled materials and once used are recycled.
-
All toiletries in our bathrooms are environmentally friendly and where possible organic.
-
Where possible we use environmentally friendly cleaning products and materials.
-
Old bedlinen and towels are recycled.
-
We are in the process of updating our light bulbs to LED bulbs, we use decorative filament bulbs and where possible these are also LED.
-
We use reclaimed and natural building materials where possible.
-
We use many antique furnishings and upcycle furniture where possible to give the pieces a second life!
